Thank you to all those who attended try-outs for FC United’s Division 1 and primary-rostered Division 2 teams for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. If you have been selected to a team, please contact your coach for registration (if the coach has not already contacted you). Otherwise, in-person registration for those who are out of town or otherwise unable to register through their coach will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on July 9, 2013, at the Gulfport Sportsplex meeting room at the soccer pavilion. Sample uniforms for try-ons will be available during this in-person registration. All U-14 and up rosters for the Division 1 BOYS teams will be posted in the next couple of days as there have been several supplemental/make up tryouts for these teams. The FC United U15 & U13 boys won the State Cup in Meridian this past weekend. Both earned a berth in the South Regional Championships in Edmond, OK in June.
The FC United U12 girls (Team Pressure) finished as a finalist at the State Cup. These girls have competed hard all season winning several events. We expect great things from them in the future!
Congratulations the FC United 99 U14 Boys on their championship at the Emerald Coast Cup in Destin, Florida. Great job guys!
Congratulations to the FC United Quickshots U9 girls primary all star team for their most recent championship at the Strawberry Cup in Hammond, LA. The Quickshots won all four of their games to win the tournament in the U10 Blue Division conceding only one goal the entire weekend. The Quickshots are currently ranked 2nd in the State with a record of 30-6-1. Way to go girls!
The FC United U12 Girls (Team Pressure) were the Finalists in the Gold division of the Strawberry Cup this past weekend, losing 3 to 1 in the finals against the #7 ranked Madisonville Piranha’s. Team Pressure continues to be a strong competitor in all their tournaments, winning four of their last 5 tournaments.
